MultiTech is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will design and development work on new products and support of existing products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform/assist in the specification and design of new hardware
* Work with CAD department to accomplish schematic entry and PCB design
* Check schematic and assembly drawings
* Perform/assist in obtaining agency approvals
* Work with other departments regarding product definition, scheduling, production testing, marketing information, technical literature, manuals, customer problems, etc.
* Work with outside contractors/vendors in the above areas
* Perform/assist in the support of existing products in the areas of product improvements, customer complaints, "bug" fixes, customizations, etc.
* Write ECO's for product definition, product release, and product change
* Follow and enforce all Multi-Tech rules and policies and provide leadership through training and example
* Adheres to the quality system standards pertaining to the job 
* Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
* BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
* 3-5 years of experience in hardware design.
* Familiarity with Wireless Design in licensed and/or unlicensed bands is required
* Requires strong communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and with other departments
* Requires strong organizational skills

Desired Skills:
* Familiarity with Cadence Allegro & Altium CAD tools.
* Spice simulations
* Switching power supply design
* Signal Integrity, Power Integrity Analysis
* High Speed ANALOG/Digital Circuit Design,
* Mixed Signal Design, RF Circuit Design
* Low Noise ANALOG Circuit Design
* Design for EMC/EMI
* Designing with high speed communication interfaces (USB, Ethernet, etc)
* Design & development of Software for initial debug of electrical systems
